World Top Stories News - foreign tourists victims in Ethiopia attacks : Gunmen in the Ethiopia's arid north attacked a group of foreign tourists, among them Austrian, Belgian, German, Hungarian and Italian nationals, an Ethiopian official said on Wednesday. Two foreigners were also kidnapped.

Gunmen that Ethiopia's government said were from the neighbouring and rival country of Eritrea attacked the tourist group before dawn on Tuesday, killing five, wounding two and taking two hostage, Bereket Simon, the country's communications minister, said. Two Ethiopians were also taken hostage.
