MacBook Pro line for 2011 Specs - Features and price ; The Apple Store is currently down, raising speculation that we could see new MacBook Pros launching imminently, but not before some last minute MacBook Pro 2011 specs leak.

The refreshed MacBook Pro could sport Thunderbolt, a super-fast new file transfer technology from Intel, as well as the company's Sandy Bridge processor.

Thunderbolt is reported to be Apple's name for Intel's new Light Peak High Speed I/O technology which promises stunningly-quick transfer times of 10GBps over copper wire

Rumors about the launch of the new MacBook Pro are increasing, which normally means that a release isn’t far away anymore. Sources close to Apple, has told AppleInsider that the new laptop line already went into production and that it will be launched in the first week of March.

We thought it may be good idea to collect all the rumors and make a nice list of what we may expect. These are all rumors, so we might (probably) be wrong.
Design MacBook Pro line for 2011
* 15 to 20 percent lighter, thanks to new materials that are stronger, lighter and less scratch sensitive than the the current aluminum unibody.
* Sharp edges on the front to be flattened.

MacBook Pro 13-inch
* Sandy Bridge-processor.
* Battery life: 12 hours, two hour more than the current line.
* Display 1440 x 900 Pixels available at an extra charge. Matt or reflecting.
* Weight: 1.68 kg, nearly four hundred grams lighter than the previous model.
* List price: $1099,-

MacBook Pro 15-inch
* Sandy Bridge-processor.
* Three USB ports, previous model had two.
* Removable optical drive, can be exchanged for a second hard drive.
* Battery life: 11 hours, two more than before.
* Weight: 2.1 kg, half a kilogram lighter than the previous model.
* List price: $1499,-

MacBook Pro 17-inch
* Sandy Bridge-processor.
* Four USB ports, previous model had three.
* Removable optical drive, can be exchanged for a second hard drive.
* Battery life: 11 hours, two more than before.
* Weight: 2.4 kg, six hundred grams lighter than the previous model.
* List price: $1999,-

Other
* Upgrading RAM or Solid State Drive will be considerably cheaper.
* Launch in the first half of March.
