Sony Ericsson claim that when the device launches on March 31st it will be backed by the company's biggest ever marketing campaign in the UK and available from all retailers on all networks - quite a claim. Speaking to MCV, Sony Ericsson's marketing director for the UK and Ireland hinted that the handset might also be available from video game shops, saying: "we are currently still in commercial conversation, but I'd be surprised if we didn't see the Xperia Play appear in other channels".
Sony Ericsson announced at MWC that the Android 2.3-running, 5-inch-screened, 60-frames-per-second Xperia Play would launch alongside fifty games, including big name titles like Assassin's Creed, Dead Space and Guitar Hero.
