Blackhawks Vs. Canucks Final Score: Chicago Forces Game 6 With 5-0 Win

Blackhawks Vs. Canucks Final Score: Chicago Forces Game 6 With 5-0 Win : t was a quiet third period in the NHL playoff matchup between the Chicago Blackhawks and Vancouver Canucks after the first two periods provided plenty of fireworks. Chicago came out of the gates gunning, burying the Canucks with three first quarter goals and forcing Roberto Luongo to the bench with another early in the second period.

With Luongo out, Chris Schneider was the next victim as the Canucks backup goalie conceded another goal just three minutes into his time on the ice. Down 5-0, the Canucks were all but buried and showed no signs of life through the first and second period. As the second period ended with punches, Vancouver headed to the locker room with their heads down, resigned to its fate, knowing a Game 6 was on the way.

The third period consisted of both teams going through the motions, with little in the way of serious chances and no goals. Corey Crawford held onto his shutout in net for the Blackhawks, taking on 36 shots and making 36 saves to stone-wall the Canucks. Compared to Luongo, who saw 14 shots and gave up four goals, Crawford looked all-world on the night.

Marian Hossa and Duncan Keith each made it a pair of goals as both scored one in the first and one in the second. Patrick Kane capped the first period with a goal to put the Blackhawks up three to join Keith and Hossa in the goal-scoring column. But it was all about Hossa and Keith as the two dominated the Canucks for much of the game, burying Vancouver early and often.

Vancouver still holds a 3-2 lead, but the series is headed back to Chicago for Game 6. With Luongo suddenly looking shaky, the Blackhawks have new life after falling into a 3-0 hole to begin the series.
