Why He Fits Here: The Dallas Cowboys have a major need in their defensive backfield, but they took a shot at drafting the top offensive tackle in this year's draft, USC's Tyron Smith.
Smith is a good player, but needs to put on some more weight and strength if he is going to succeed as a tackle at the next level. It's interesting that Smith played right tackle in college, but could be asked to play left tackle at the NFL level, not something you see everyday.
This pick allows the Cowboys to move on from Marc Colombo, who was a liability at RT. The Cowboys will look for Smith to come in and step in at that tackle position right away.Read More....
