Metrodome Collapse Video Sign of Things to Come

Metrodome Collapse Video Sign of Things to Come ; The Metrodome collapse video showed the gaping flaws in the stadium's roof. Fortunately, another Metrodome collapse video wasn't taken yesterday, when a new flaw was exposed. After the now infamous cave in on Sunday morning, repairs were interrupted yesterday by a 4'th Teflon tear. As if It wasn't hard enough to repair Sunday's holes, another one has been added to the list. If these repairs aren't thoroughly handled, Sunday's Metrodome collapse video won't be just a one-time incident.

Minnesota football in general has been cursed this year, which has been made very obvious this week. Not only are they trying to fix the Metrodome, they are racing against the clock to get TCF Bank Stadium ready for the Vikings-Bears Monday night game.

Of course, the Metrodome collapse video showed that their roof couldn't be fixed in time for that game. Therefore, the next football game there won't be until the 2011 preseason - assuming there is one. As such, the repair crew might not be in such a hurry, yet the stakes are extremely high anyway.

With another panel going down yesterday, the repairs took a big hit. This time, people were inside as a new part of the roof fell, and more snow and ice tumbled on the field. No one was hurt, although the fear of this happening in front of crowds is still persuasive.

Although the Metrodome collapse video was a viral hit, no one wants a sequel to it. Therefore, their repairs have to be extremely thorough, and keep the roof safe under every circumstance. If they can't do that, then the future of this stadium - and of Vikings football in Minnesota - will be in great danger.

The Vikings now have a new argument to make, in their quest to get a new stadium. If Minnesota can't give one to them, then Los Angeles or some other city can try to woo them. This week in general has been a disaster for Minnesota, as one football stadium has a faulty roof, and the other might not be ready to host a game yet either.
