Apple's iPad 2, iPhone 5 could be delayed

Apple's iPad 2, iPhone 5 could be delayed : Two independent sources have said that the iPhone 5 and iPad 2 are facing production delays. The rumors suggest that the iPad 2 could be delayed from an April launch to a June launch, and that the iPhone 5 could hit stores in September instead of July.

Bloomberg Businessweek reported that an analyst from Yuanta Securities Co. said that recent design changes from Apple may have caused delays at Hon Hai Precision Manufacturing. Apple's spokeswoman had no comment, and Bloomberg could not reach a Hon Hai spokesman. If true, a delay in the iPad release could give Android tablets a valuable window to solidify a place in the market.

Meanwhile, Business Insider has a report from FBR Capital Markets analyst Craig Berger, citing rumors that the company has not yet put in orders with some suppliers and may be looking at a fall launch instead of its traditional summer handset reveal.
