To get around the
To get around the "restricted by parental controls" error you'll need to log in to your Comcast account with your comcast.net ID. Then click the TV icon at the very top-right of the page. This will take you to the Xfinity home page. From here, click MyTV, then click Settings. On the settings page, click Manage Parental Controls button. All I had to do was set a PIN and then the HBO GO app let me log in and prompted to create an HBO GO account.Note that if you log in to the Comcast site using an email address or username other than your original comcast.net ID, you will not be able to set your PIN. Really confusing website design from Comcast and poor communication from HBO and Comcast. Perhaps they never tested with an account that didn't have a Parental Control PIN already set.Really nice app otherwise with a great selection of shows. Would get four stars if not for the sign-in snafu.
