Dian A Soerarso, Vice President Director of Bank Bumiputera ICB, said micro-financing sector has enormous potential that can be worked out by the company in the midst of the good macroeconomic conditions in Indonesia.
"Makro Indonesia's economy grew more than other countries which are supported by internal economic growth. It means the potential for micro-enterprises big enough. In the future we will focus on developing micro-banking," he said on the sidelines of Public Exposure in 2010, today.
Thus, he said, small businesses need to get funding boost to improve its business. As of the semester I/2010, ICB Bank has set up 40 outlets to serve the micro banking in various cities across Indonesia. "In the second half of this year we will add 10 outlets anymore, so a total of 50 outlets in micro banking," he said.
Dian target total loan disbursements until the end of the year Rp6, 4 trillion. The total credit that has been distributed throughout the semester I/2010, reaching Rp5, 81 trillion. "There is Rp600 billion [financing] which will be distributed again in the rest of the semester II/2010. A total of Rp200 billion to Rp400 billion consumer banking and business banking," he said.
